• The house dust mite is a year-round allergen, the most common house dust mite in Europe is Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus . Symptoms of a dust mite allergy include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, difficulty breathing , and skin rashes. 80% of asthmatics are allergic to house dust mites.

  The house dust mite is a very small mite, invisible to the naked eye (0.3-0.5 mm), that feeds on human dander and dead skin. It requires air humidity >50% and air temperature >25 ⁰ C. Suitable habitats for dust mites include duvets, feather pillows, mattresses, soft textile furniture (including seats in public transport vehicles), sheepskin in a stroller, woolen clothes, etc. The allergen is the very small feces of the dust mite (diameter 4 - 20 micrometers), which enter the body through the respiratory mucosa.

• Cat dander and pet dander is an allergy, the symptoms of which include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and difficulty breathing. The allergen is found in cat dander, saliva, and sweat, and is very difficult to remove once it has been released into the environment.

• Dog dander causes significantly less allergies in humans than cat dander. Allergens are present in dog dander, hair, saliva, and serum.

• People living in the Nordic countries most often experience birch pollen allergies, and this occurs from April to June.

• The pollen of the broomrape plant is a flowering plant of the family Corvaceae, which blooms in August and September and is a widespread weed (in the city and in the countryside).

• 40% of allergy sufferers suffer from hay fever, timothy blooms in June and July
