The Social Insurance Board reimburses SleepAngel products

The Social Insurance Board added products from the Estonian manufacturer SleepAngel to the list of medical devices and aids, from which seat cushions and mattresses with medium and high risk of bedsores can now be purchased at a discounted price.

The product range, featuring unique PneumaPure filter technology, provides a barrier to viruses, allergens and fluids, while being comfortable, supportive and easy to maintain for the user.

The representative of SleepAngel products in Estonia, which have been added to the list of products of the Social Insurance Board, is Gabriel Scientific Eesti OÜ. The distinctive feature of SleepAngel branded products is their unique filter technology, which ensures that the products remain clean on the inside and are easy to clean on the outside. In addition, the products are comfortable for the user and can be used for a long time.

"A clean and comfortable environment is part of a decent life. Products based on SleepAngel product technology are mainly used in the healthcare sector (hospitals and nursing homes), and there are also separate products for use in hotels and homes.

Products with PneumaPure filter technology are easy to use and maintain thanks to three barrier components:

• SafeWeld welds - instead of seams, the products are welded together, as conventional seam holes would allow liquids, pathogens, etc. to access the contents
• PureShield fabric protection - durable, soft and breathable fabric that is also waterproof
• PneumaPure filter - a nanoporous filter allows only clean air into the product. All body fluids, in addition to allergens and viruses, remain on the outside of the product.

The product technology is globally patented and is a Class I medical device. The products are available in both blue (Royal Blue, Sky Blue) and white (Medical White). In addition to mattresses and seat cushions, SleepAngel blankets, pillows and mattress toppers are also suitable for home and professional care and use.

Pilot project "Providing assistive devices to working-age people without disabilities and reduced work capacity" for the period 01.01.2021- 30.06.2021

Gabriel Scientific Estonia is also part of the Ministry of Social Affairs' pilot project, the aim of which is  to find out what the actual need for assistive devices is for people of working age who have not been identified as having a disability or reduced ability to work. During the pilot project, people of working age will have the opportunity to purchase the necessary assistive device based on their need for assistance, not on their disability or ability to work.
